Effective May 16, 2024
In order to achieve this designation, the following criteria must be met:
- All breeders/owners of the Scottish Terriers must be members of STCA.
- The breeder must also be an owner of the dog at the time the CHIC number was received, if ownership has changed after the dog was put on the CHIC registry.
- The breeder/owner must also have achieved AKC Breeder of Merit status.
- Breeder/owner must have at least four (4) Scottish Terriers on the CHIC Registry.
- Breeder/owner is responsible for submitting all information to the CHIC Honor Roll Liaison, Helen Prince.
- A copy of all CHIC certificates and AKC registrations must accompany the application for Honor Roll Status.
- The breeder/owner(s) who achieve Breeder of Merit Honor Roll status will be
acknowledged with a specially designed pin and will be listed in the third edition of the Bagpiper each year, as well as getting a special designation on the STCA Website Breeder Listing page.
- Honor Roll status will be granted to breeder/owners who achieve CHIC numbers for their fourth Scottie during the time frame of July 1st – June 30th of the following year.
- The Breeder of Merit Honor Roll has several levels:
Initial application – 4 dogs: Breeder of Merit Honor pin
Bronze level — 8 dogs: Certificate
Silver level – 12 dogs: Certificate
Gold level — 16 dogs: Certificate
Platinum level – 20 dogs: Certificate
